About us Mission Statement
The mission of Three Rivers Church is to exalt the Lord with all our being, to evangelize the lost, and to educate believers for living the Christian life. Our mission statement is based, first, on the Great Commandment presented in Matthew 22:37-39, that we might love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind; and our neighbor as ourselves, and secondly, on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19, 20, which includes reaching our lost world with the saving message of Jesus Christ, baptizing those who accept the Lord, and educating them in the commands of scripture that we together might grow in our walk with the Lord.
About Us
Three Rivers Church, located in the heart of Cranberry Township, PA., is a small but growing congregation. Originally started in the mid 1990s as a mission work of the National Association of Free Will Baptists with missionaries Tom and Pam Jones, Three Rivers has sought to make a difference in this community for the cause of Christ. We know we are not the only church in town, and we know we are not the biggest church in town, but we are a church that loves the Lord, loves each other, and might be just the church you have been looking for! We are a family oriented church for families of one to a dozen, or more. Pastor Cody and the entire congregation invite you to join our family this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.Three Rivers Church is affiliated with the National Association of Free Will Baptists. About Our Pastor
Pastor Cody Freeman and his wife Bonnie came to Cranberry in the spring of 2010. Prior to coming to Pennsylvania, Pastor Cody had been pastoring for more than thirty years in churches in Missouri and Oklahoma. In 2006 Pastor Cody and Bonnie both lost a spouse to death and the Lord brought them together in marriage and ministry in 2008. Their experiences with life and death situations have given them a true love for people and a burden for those in need of a Savior and friend.
Services and Ministries
Service Times Serivce Times Worship: Sunday Morning 10:30 a.m.Home Bible Study: Tuesday and Friday eveningsSunday Morning Service | Series: JamesThe Book of James has a very practical application for the Christian life. James wrote it to address problems of persecution and to let us know that our life in Christ needs to be "real," not just in theory, but in our daily living. He stresses that true faith will make a difference in the way that we live. Tuesday Night Bible study | Series: Book of RomansPerhaps, the Bibles greatest explanation of Gods plan of salvation, it lays out a step by step argument which has come to be known as The Romans Road to Salvation.Friday Night Bilby Study | Series: The Basics of the Christian life In our Friday night study, we are working on a topical study entitled The Basics of the Christian Life. This study has served as an opportunity for us to consider what God has provided for the Christians walk and spiritual growth.
Ministries MinistriesJr. ChurchFor our Sunday worship we include the children with the adults in the singing portion of the service, and a short session which we call Kids Corner, a time of interaction with the pastor. We then dismiss the children to their own time of Bible stories and Bible memorization. We feel that it is important to present the message of Christ to everyone on an age appropriate level. We provide a safe environment for the children, and every worker must undergo a background check in order to work with the children.Woman to WomanA monthly cooking and mentoring class for women of all ages. Mens Breakfast FellowshipOne Saturday per month, the men of the church meet together for breakfast and fellowship (usually at a local restaurant). This is a good time for bonding and encouragement. MusicOur music for worship is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs and choruses. The music is led by a praise team and accompanied by keyboard, violin, and guitar (we are always looking for more musicians and singers).
